Stay Tuned til 1:13! My father and I decided over the phone to give the guests a little surprise. We threw a few songs around for a few days. The day before the wedding I asked him, "How about Rodney O and Joe Cooley... "But You Don't Hear Me Though"." My dad said, "Aight." That is how he talks, lol. I felt that it was important to be true to our style. This dance wasn't for pure entertainment like the other staged dances you see... this dance was US. Often, music connected us. Here, we are expressing happiness the way we know best, through the rhythm of the moment. My father was in a car club when I was a little girl (complete with airbrush and hydrolics/ "switches"). I grew up listening to old school, electro, funk and freestyle jams because of him. He is responsible for my love of hip hop and dancing. I did would I could with my heavy dress and heels, but I am known to bust a move or two. My best memories with him always involve dancing. This takes the cake though.
